UAE based shipbuilding yard Lamprell said it has received a new contract from Singapore’s Greatship Global Energy Services for a newbuild self-elevating jackup.

The rig,will be of a Super 116 enhanced class design and capable of operating in water depths of up to 350 feet, while having a drilling depth of 30,000 feet.

The jackup will be built at Lamprell’s new yard in Hamriyah.

Delivery of the vessel is due in the fourth quarter 2012.
