Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) has pre-qualified 17 international companies to bid for a project to increase natural gas production in its northern fields and the tenders will be issued within one month, Zawya reported, citing local press.
The project involves constructing two production facilities for Jurassic gas with a production capacity of 160 million cubic feet (mcf) of natural gas and 50,000 barrels per day (b/d) of light crude oil.
The project will raise Kuwait’s gas and light crude production to 820 mcf and 280,000 b/d, respectively.
The pre-qualified companies include the National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC), Engineers India, Toyo Engineering Corporation, Technip, Triune Energy Services, EPC Corporation, Processes Unlimited International, Técnicas Reunidas, Enereco, Larsen &Toubro, and Petrofac.
