As part of Egypt Energy Show Conference and Exhibition (EGYPES 2025), the Minister of Finance, Ahmed Kouchouk stressed that the government is working on increasing the investments in the Egyptian energy sector, within the framework of an integrated and consistent vision to support the competitiveness of the Egyptian economy.
This came during the Finance and Investment in Energy Conference attended by the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi.
He noted that government believes in more investment will enable a better tomorrow with more production in a way that contributes to improving citizens’ living standards.
The Minister stressed the commitment to supporting the efforts of the Ministries of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and Electricity and Renewable Energy aiming at enhancing energy security with a more sustainable and ambitious vision, explaining that there is full coordination with the two ministries to ensure the sustainability of energy sources for all sectors and individuals.
Kouchouk added that his ministry keen to pay the arrears on time to encourage investment in the energy sector, noting that the government is focusing on the transition to renewable energy sources that are more sustainable, efficient and less costly. T
Also, he explained that the country is making good progress in achieving the financial targets, and that conditions will be better for investors and citizens during the coming period, noting that the stability of financial and economic performance paves the way for increasing production and exports.
