Khalda Petroleum Company plans to expand its butane production in 2020 to around 120 tons per day, an official source told Amwal Al Ghad.
The company succeeded in drilling three new exploratory wells in Siwa concession during fiscal year (FY) 2018/19, the source said, adding that the company will focus on this concession to increase crude oil production to 130,000 barrels per day (b/d) in 2020.
Khalda Petroleum provides its crude oil and condensates production to refineries to cover the local market’s demands. The company further produces natural gas to contribute to the country’s demands after halting its liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports.
