Kazakhstan’s Tengiz Oilfield Production Being Restored Gradually

Chevron stated that production from its Tengiz oilfield, the largest one in Kazakhstan, is gradually to returning to normal after it was limited due to the recent protests, Reuters reported.

The production from the field was declined because some contractors stopped the train lines in support of the protests.

It should be noted that Kazakhstan is a major oil producer which produces 1.6 million barrels per day (mmbbl/d) during the last months and Tengiz oilfield produces about 700,000 bbl/d, according to Reuters in reference to its sources.
