Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi is expected to participate in GASTECH 2024 on September 17th.

As one of the largest international gatherings in the field of energy and natural gas, the conference will open tomorrow in Houston and will continue until September 20th, with the participation of a large number of energy ministers, officials, and heads of companies specializing in natural and liquefied gas, hydrogen, climate technologies, low-carbon energy solutions, and industries related to the energy sector in general.

Badawi is scheduled to participate tomorrow in the opening ministerial session of the conference, which will be held under the title ‘From mitigation to adaptation: Navigating volatile geopolitics in a fragmenting global order.’

The minister will also chair a roundtable entitled ‘Egypt: Shaping a Pragmatic and Realistic Energy Future.’

On the sidelines of the conference, the Minister is scheduled to hold several bilateral meetings with his counterparts from a number of countries, as well as heads of major international energy companies.

This year’s conference is held under the slogan ‘Transforming energy through vision, innovation and action’, with its main events including strategic, technical, and commercial conferences, events related to climate technologies, the use of artificial intelligence, and hydrogen as an energy source.

More than 50,000 participants and 1,000 high-level speakers from 125 countries are expected to participate in these events in more than 160 dialogue sessions, in addition to 800 exhibitors in the exhibition accompanying the conference.
