Italian Delegation Looking into Further Oil, Gas, Electricity, Renewables Cooperation

A high-ranking Italian economic delegation comprising of five officials headed by Deputy Minister of Economic Development Carlo Kalinda arrived in Cairo today  to discuss how to support and enhance economic cooperation between the two countries.

Egypt’s Ambassador in Rome Amr Helmy said in press statements that the Italian delegation includes heads of a number of Italian companies and financial organizations in order to build on the success of the visit paid by Italian economic mission that have already to Egypt in February, as well as new investments in Egypt, announced lately by the Italian business circles during Sharm el-Sheikh conference economic.

Helmy added that the Italian mission will focus during the meetings with senior Egyptian officials on a range of vital economic issues, including the running of a permanent shipping line between Egypt and Italy as well as monitoring the implementation of a range of projects related to transportation, oil and gas, electricity, new and renewable energy sectors.
