Iran’s Petropars Operation and Management Company (POMC) increased production of butane and propane from the South Pars Phase 19 refinery with the commissioning of all butane and propane unit’s refrigeration compressors, Shana News Agency reported.

The company said that preparation assembly for the compressors was conducted for the first time by the company’s specialists, adding: “Previously, foreign specialists and companies assembled and prepared these compressors.”

The company uses refrigeration compressors when the products are transferred to the storage tanks to avoid evaporation, as propane and butane have a high temperature

The South Pars Phase 19 project aims to produce 75,000 barrels of gas condensates, 56.6 million cubic meters of natural gas, 1.05 tons of liquefied petroleum gas, 1 million tons of ethane, and 400 tons of sulfur per day.
