Bolivian President Evo Morales confirmed he will take part in the upcoming summit meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) to be held on November 23 in Tehran, reported Fars News Agency.

Morales said he will depart for Tehran after his four-nation tour of Europe, visiting Germany, Italy, France, and Ireland.

According to the Tehran Times, Azizollah Ramezani, the director for international affairs at the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), had announced previously that Iran will boost its gas output by 100-120 mcm/d this year.

This was in preparation for the final lifting of sanctions, with gas projects already in store for development. He added that the new global gas model, which has been studied for five years, will be unveiled at the GECF summit.

The new model will be of great benefit to the GECF member states for decision making in terms of their investment plans and also the export markets they want to choose, he explained.
