Ibrahim Mehleb, Vice President for National and Strategic Projects, is on an inspection tour of mining sites around the country, Egypt Oil and Gas reports.
General Ahmed Abdallah, Red Sea Governor; Amr Teama, Head of the Mineral Resources Authority; and Colonel Mohamed Abu Sen of the Administrative Control Authority are joining VP on parts of his trip.
Mehleb said that the state is giving its full attention to national projects, which can improve the economy, and the standard of living of Egyptians. He cites mining as among the most important of these national projects, stating that the new government reforms, and laws have been valuable for the sector.
The former Prime Minister’s visit comes as mining efforts are expanding in the country, especially in eastern and southern Egypt.
