Egypt Oil & Gas (EOG) learned that GUPCO  has drilled 3 new wells in its concession area in the Gulf of Suez by drilling three new wells – Hilal B1, Hilal B2 and EDFU A7 ; in addition to an exploratory well GS277-A5.

Well completions on SG300-13 and OCT-G4 were carried out with the redirecting of the GS327-A6 ST1 well, while OCT-A9 was transformed from a producing well to a water well injection well.

Two water injection wells were also repaired in the October field, G9 and A11Ast1.

The cumulative result of these operations was an increase in annual output of 0.9 million barrels of oil at an average daily production rate of about 2,500 b/d, on average throughout the year.
