Germany will construct a solar power plant and other facilities in Iran, according to a statement made by an Iranian official at the Governor-General’s office, Fars News Agency informed.
A German delegation discussed the investment plans in the country. “The delegation will invest $2.9b in Hamedan [province] in a period of 10 years and every year, solar panels and other facilities, which use solar power will be built in Hamedan,” said the official, Iran Daily wrote.
In a relevant development earlier this month, Iran and the German equipment manufacturer, Siemens, reached an agreement to build a big new power plant in Damavand city, in northern Tehran. Funds required for the first phase of Jalal power plant stand at an estimated $375m to $397m, approximately.
