General Electric (GE) was awarded a contract with Engineering for the Petroleum & Process Industries (Enppi) to establish a transmission substation for Assiut Oil Refining Company (ASORC), Al Mal Newspaper reported.
According to the $25 million deal, GE will be the main contractor on behalf of Enppi for building the station’s indoor and outdoor facilities, which will contribute with an annual capacity of 660,000 tons for the naphtha complex with and provide Upper Egypt with high-octane gasoline and different types of gasoline.
The gas isolated station will cover the new naphtha refinery’s electricity needs.
