GE Power is providing transformative software service solutions for industrial plants in the energy sector through its partnerships with RasGas in Qatar, reported Al-Bawaba.

According to Trade Arabia the GE industrial internet solutions system will support process optimization across RasGas operations. It will capture and analyze the unique volume, velocity and variety of machine data within a highly secure, industrial-strength cloud environment, leading to higher reliability in operation and optimizing resource use efficiency.

The GE system is powered by Predix, the world’s first and only cloud-based operating system built exclusively for industrial assets. RasGas is one of the world’s largest producers of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Qatar.
