Ganoub El Wadi Petroleum Holding Company’s (Ganope) Chairman Ashraf Bahaa has conducted an inspection visit of the Aswan, Luxor, and Qena Governates to follow-up on natural gas deliveries to households.
These projects are within the framework of the Haya Karima (“Decent Life”) presidential initiative, which was implemented by the companies Egypt Gas and Modern Gas.
This visit also comes also as part of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ (MoPMR) efforts to support workers in these essential initiatives.
Bahaa was present to monitor the progress of teams involved in construction work in the villages of Al-Mahamid Al-Bahriah in the Armant Central town, AlAqab in Qus Center, and Al-Marashda in Al-Waqf Center.
Haya Karima includes delivering natural gas to 374 villages at the first stage. The delivery to 196 villages of external networks and 119 villages of internal networks has been completed. Gas has been distributed to serve 115 villages of internal and external networks, and work is underway in the remaining villages according to time programs.
It should be noted that the delivery of natural gas to 2 million household customers, 8,100 commercial customers, and 174 industrial customers in the governorates of Upper Egypt has been completed.
During the visit, Bahaa highlighted the importance of full commitment to safe operation by applying the rules and controls of occupational safety and health procedures and preserving the environment.
