“I did not resign and I do not know where did this rumor come from?” said the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum Eng. Sameh Fahmy in a phone call with the state-owned Al-Ahram Newspaper.

Fahmy denied any intention to resign from the Ministry amid the current protests held by petroleum personnel of PetroTrade, Sianco, Butagasco and Alpesco.

The Minister dismissed the Chairmen of the four companies, in addition to the administration managers, yet he did not clarify the names of the newly appointed managers who would be responsible for solving the protesters’ demands and hold the companies’ operations back to the daily norm.
