Eni’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Claudio Descalzi, and the Director General of China’s International Cooperation Center of the National Development and Reform Commission (ICC-NDRC), Huang Yong, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote energy cooperation, .
The MoU was signed at the Embassy of Italy in Beijing at the presence of Italy’s Ambassador to China, Luca Ferrari, on the occasion of the China-Italy Joint Government Committee to set cooperation aimed at promoting joint initiatives between Eni and Chinese counterparts across the entire energy value chain in China and internationally.
The new partnership will enable Eni and ICC-NDRC to “to share knowledge and best practices, assess the impact of energy policies and market regulations, identify areas of mutual interest, and develop relationships with Chinese institutions and companies at the national, provincial and municipal levels,” according to Eni’s press release.
