Eni reached a record level of production of 70 thousand b/d in the Western Desert of Egypt, doubling its level of production in three years. Eni announced in a statement.
The statement clarified that the increase is in large part due to the Melehia development west of Alexandria, which is producing about 54 thousand b/d.
Eni in January signed two new agreements in the deep waters of the Mediterranean Sea following an auction held by the Egyptian government in 2013.
