Egyptian Maintenance Company (EMC) has announced its 2019 achievements, with a diversity of operations as well as several new contracts with major international companies, which support the petroleum sector technically and technologically with the highest standards, according to a press release.

The Chairman and Managing Director of  Mohamed Shimy, mentioned that the company also succeeded locally in implementing several oil and gas projects such as establishing a compressor station in Disouq field, completing the second phase of natural gas compressor station in Faraskor field as well as replacing and exchanging some production offshore platforms in the Gulf of Suez Petroleum Company’s (GUPCO) fields.

In addition, the company had updated some controlling systems for a number of turbines at several sites. Shimy said that the company also carried out some projects related to electricity and railway sectors.

Furthermore, the company managed to expand its activities in Iraq and Jordan as well as in Angola and Algeria, where EMC had won bids for fully maintenance operations for Eni’s production sites in addition to contracts with other international oil companies (IOCs) like BP and ExxonMobil.

The chairman remarked these achievements during the general assembly meeting of the company headed by the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, and was attended by several officials from the petroleum sector.

For his part, El Molla said that the support provided by the petroleum maintenance companies and its investments in preparing its human cadres achieve vital targets to the petroleum sector.
