Egypt Maintenance Company’s (EMC) Chairman, Khaled Ibrahim, stated that the company recorded revenues of EGP 12.7 billion in 2024, marking a 44% increase compared to 2023. The value of new contracts also increased by 41%, recording EGP 15.5 billion compared to the same period in 2023.
Furthermore, EMC recorded 30 million safe working hours without any lost-time incidents.
Ibrahim explained the company’s success is the result of strategic planning rooted in a clear vision for development, helping it maintain a leading position in providing integrated and innovative services that meet the needs of its clients according to the highest quality and safety standards, despite regional and global challenges.
The figures were announced during EMC’s general assembly meeting, attended by Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi, to review the company’s performance in 2024.
Badawi stated that the company’s strong business volume increase in foreign markets is a positive milestone. He emphasized the importance of expanding globally as a key objective in the near future.
Moreover, Badawi explained that the Ministry strongly supports EMC in making a qualitative leap in its performance, emphasizing that the fields of energy efficiency and rationalizing consumption are one promising opportunities for supporting development.
Ibrahim noted that, on the international level, EMC maintained its presence for the third consecutive year on the list of the world’s top international contractors, issued by the U.S.-based ENR. The company advanced its global standing in pipeline projects, ranking twentieth worldwide and third locally. Additionally, EMC succeeded in growing its backlog of executable work to EGP 30.7 billion, extending until 2049.
Ibrahim further reviewed the company’s expansion beyond the oil industry into vital sectors such as electricity, mining, fertilizers, and others.
