Egyptian Linear Alkyl Benzene Company (ELAB) produced the total of 115,000 tons of alkyl benzene linear in 2017, making EGP 670 million worth sales in Egypt, in addition to $100 million exports value, ELAB’s Head, Hesham Nour El Din, stated. The company adopted an expansion vision to boost output and establish new projects that will increase ELAB’s competitive abilities in securing the product for local market and exports, especially as the company’s products have earned the trust of international detergents producers, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.

Noor El Din’s statement came during the visit of Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, to follow up on the company’s projects.

El Molla pointed out the importance of following health, safety and environment (HSE) standards in implementing and operating the project, and the importance of securing funds, trainings, and required equipment in order to be HSE committed and minimize errors.
