El Waha Petroleum Company (OWAPCO) is currently studying the feasibility to repair some development wells, located in the company’s concession area in West Qarun.

A top official at OWAPCO told Egypt Oil & Gas Newspaper that the company aims at boosting its current production levels to reach up to 500 barrels of crude oil per day.

This plan for the development wells is part of the current fiscal plan of 2010-2011.

This joint venture company between EGPC and Sahara Petroleum Services Company (SAPESCO) will allocate an approximate investment of $500 thousand.
