President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has met Mike Wirth, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Chevron, affirming his full support for the company’s operations in Egypt, especially in the exploration and production fields, as it has great expertise which will boost the Egyptian petroleum sector.

In the presence of Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla, Wirth expressed his appreciation for his meeting with the president as well as his pleasure for Chevron operations in Egypt. He also stressed the company’s keenness to develop a strategic partnership with Egypt, considering what Egypt has achieved under the leadership of the President in terms of economic growth and the tangible development boom that the country is witnessing. Moreover in the level of the state’s infrastructure in general and the oil and gas sector in particular.  Furthermore the ongoing regional cooperation projects to connect, transport and liquefy gas, whose importance is growing in the light of the current global energy crisis.
