The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, held a meeting with a number of petroleum companies’ heads to discuss ways to speed up the implementation of the presidential initiatives of natural gas vehicle conversion (NGVC).

During the meeting, El Molla assured that the conditions are available for NGVC expansion to increase the number of beneficiaries of this project and to maximize the petroleum sector’s sales of natural gas to serve the local market. He also added that this project will provide outstanding services for citizens and will observe the digital transformation in managing activities. In addition, he confirmed that the petroleum sector puts this project as a priority, highlighting the efforts of the companies in converting cars to run on natural gas and supplying natural gas stations.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) and his deputy, Chairman of Car Gas, Chairman of Gastec, Chairman of Egypt Gas, and Chairman of Petrojet.
