A press release to Egypt Oil&Gas stated that Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, met with German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce (GACIC)’s President, Ulrich Hermann Huth, GACIC’s Executive Director, Andreas Hergenröther and their accompanied delegation in the presence of Ministry’s Undersecretaries of Gas and Mineral Resources, Members of the Technical Office, the Chairman of Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) ,the Chairman of the Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company (ECHEM), and the Chairman of Petrojet, to discuss investment opportunities in petrochemical projects in Egypt.
During the meeting, the vision and the strategy of the Egyptian petroleum and mineral resources sector were reviewed. Both sides discussed the available investment opportunities to increase German investments in the Egyptian petroleum industry.
In addition, GACIC’s delegation expressed an interest to invest in a number of petrochemical projects that are planned to start during the coming period. The delegation is further interested in providing the Egyptian human capital with training, and conducting feasibility studies to ensure the success of the projects.
