Under the patronage of the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, H.E Eng. Tarek El Molla, the Egyptian petroleum sector’s first blood donation campaign was launched today, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.

The minister inaugurated the initiative activities by being the first donor, according to a campaign press release.

The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources along with the EOG Committee organize the campaign, in cooperation with the Egyptian National Blood Transfusion Services and the Ministry of Health and Population, from Tuesday June 18 to Thursday July 4.

The blood donation campaign is the first joint activity between the sector’s national oil companies (NOCs) and international oil companies (IOCs).

The campaign will spread across the country providing donation points in the sector companies’ headquarters, bases, oil and gas fields, and refineries.

The campaign is the inaugural activity by the Egypt Oil & Gas Corporate Social Responsibility (EOG CSR) Committee, which was launched in September 2018 to promote CSR awareness across the petroleum sector and encourage participation in social programs and community services.
