The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, encouraged the production expansion projects and infrastructure development of Amerya and Alexandria refineries following the time schedule to achieve the goals of increasing production and providing high quality petroleum products.
This was announced during the general assemblies chaired by El Molla, with the Amreya Petroleum Refining Company (APRC), and Alexandria Petroleum Company (APC) via video conference to approve their planning budgets for fiscal year (FY) 2021/22, in the presence of the Minister of Local Development, Mahmoud Shaarawy.
El Molla directed to take advantage of the expertise of Enppi and Petrojet in the implementation of the projects according to a specific timeframe. He also highlighted to accelerate the digital transformation projects in refineries, including the ERP system to increase operational efficiency.
During the meetings, the companies presented features of their planned budgets for FY 2021/22, which were presented by Ali Badr, the Chairman of APRC, and Mohamed El Sayed Sobhy, the Chairman of Alexandria Petroleum Company.
