Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla said that Egypt is working on boosting cooperation with Italy to facilitate exporting liquefied natural gas (LNG) to European markets.
In an interview with Bloomberg Al-Sharq, El Molla also highlighted the role of Eni in Egypt, saying that Eni produces more than 50% of Egyptian natural gas. He noted that Italy is one of the founders of the East Mediterranean Gas Forum (EMGF).
