Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resouces, discussed with a delegation from Emerson international company cooperation plans on digital transformation as well as advanced technological solutions for the petroleum sector, according to a press release.

The minister stressed that the petroleum sector is interested in accelerating the implementation of digital transformation to develop and modernize the petroleum sector. That is to increase implementation efficiency and speed in parallel with reducing expenditures, he added.

Emerson is already involved in a number of petroleum projects in Egypt including storage facilities and fuel station projects. Both parties discussed the proposed areas of cooperation in the scope of digital transformation, developing safety systems, and establishing new petroleum projects in refining, petrochemicals, and storage.
