The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, held a meeting with the United States Secretary of Energy, Dan Brouillette, to discuss ties between the two countries in the petroleum and natural gas field as well as the US companies’ investments in Egypt, a press release reported.

Additionally, the meeting covered the recent updates of the East Mediterranean Gas Forum (EMGF) and its role in exploiting the natural gas resources of East Mediterranean in cooperation with the international companies.

According to the press release, the two ministers agreed to continue their discussion sessions, started in Cairo in September 2019, to support the cooperation between Egypt and US.
