A press release to Egypt Oil&Gas stated that the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, along with an Egyptian delegation that includes Egypt’s Ambassador to Iraq, Ahmed Hassan Darwish, met with the Iraqi President, Fuad Masum. During the meeting, the Iraqi President praised the historical relations binding the two countries adding that it is important to support economic bonds especially in the field of oil and gas.
Furthermore, El Molla met with Head of the Iraqi Parliament, Salim Al Jabouri, who stated that the Iraqi Parliament supports all agreements of mutual benefits between the two countries. El Molla commented that it is important to promote Iraqi-Egyptian cooperation and establish oil and gas joint ventures.
Before leaving Iraq, El Molla announced that his visit was not only on the operational level, but that he met with officials who support oil and gas collaboration.
