The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, chaired the meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Organization of the Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC), Egypt Oil & Gas reports.
The ministers discussed OAPEC’s 2018 budget and reviewed the organization’s activities during 2017.
El Molla noted the importance of OAPEC for discussing industry issues and reaching joint decisions that benefit member countries and bolster oil and gas cooperation between them.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Saudi Arabian Minister of Energy Affairs; Sheikh Mohamed bin Khalifa, Bahraini Minister of Oil; and Mustapha Guitouni, Algerian Minister of Energy, were among those participating in the meeting.
The OAPEC meeting was held on December 10th in Kuwait.
