Egypt produced 554,000 tons of diesel in January 2018, an 8.73% year-on-year (Y.o.Y) decrease, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.
Figures published by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) reveal that the north African country produced 607,000 tons of diesel in January 2017 by comparison.
Meanwhile, the country’s consumption of diesel experienced a slight 0.43% Y.o.Y decrease in January 2018, falling from 1.171 million tons to 1.166 million tons over 12 months.
Diesel production increased by around 1.47% in one month as it had recorded 546,000 tons in December 2017.
