The Egyptian Gas Association (EGA) held a meeting with the Chinese Gas Association’s (CGA) delegates, led by Wang Dong, the Chairman of the Beijing Enterprises Group Company Ltd.’s Board, and Li Ya Lan, the Chairman of the Board of Beijing Gas Group Company Ltd. in Cairo on 28th September.

Official representatives of the two associations discussed various ways in which they can help enhance mutual cooperation in the natural gas sector between Egypt and China. At the event, EGA presented in details the Egyptian sector’s most significant achievements and introduced the official visitors to a variety of related activities it has accomplished in the past year.

The meeting has marked the start of a three-day visit by Chinese officials to Egypt. CGA delegation will attend a series of meetings scheduled with Egyptian governmental officials in the next two days in order to expand areas of sectoral collaboration.

The aim of the visit is for the Egyptian government to enlarge inflow of much needed natural gas investments from the Asian nation to the country.
