Australia-based Beach Energy has confirmed that work on the Kuwait Energy-operated Abu Sennan concession in Egypt has been suspended due to recent events.

Beach said the project operator had told it that communication problems associated with the unrest had affected logistics, resulting in the temporary suspension of operations.

“The situation is being monitored closely,” Beach said in its monthly drilling report, released to the Australian Securities Exchange.
