Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum Tarek El Molla is participating in the 27th World Gas Conference (WGC 2018), Egypt Oil & Gas reports.
WGC 2018 is taking place from June 25-29 under the theme “Fueling the Future” in Washington DC.
The International Gas Union (IGU) organizes the WGC every three years in the country holding its presidency.
“[WGC 2018] will promote the IGU’s key objectives of raising the voice of natural gas while offering timely updates,” according to the IGU.
This year’s edition features 600 speakers, 600 organizations, representatives from 100 countries, 350 exhibitors, and more 12,000 exhibitors.
El Molla, who is attending upon the invitation of IGU president David C. Carroll, believes WGC 2018 is a good opportunity for Egypt to exchange ideas and experiences with other international players in the gas sector.
