The Head of Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC), Gamal Abdel Rahim, explained the position of the company’s projects and future plans that are being implemented to meet the added capacities in the summer. That was during his meeting with the Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mohamed Shaker, Daily News Egypt reported.
Abdel Rahim displayed the EETC’s projects for strengthening the performance of electricity transmission grids in Upper Egypt and other governorates. The investment cost of the projects that are being carried out registered EGP 29b.
He also said that the EETC is working on establishing 3 transformer stations in Beni Suef Industrial Zone at a voltage of 500/220 KV and a capacity of 450 MV per station. The implementation of stations is expected to be completed in the last quarter of 2017. Transformers of Tamy El Amded and East Ismailia stations are to be implemented during the first quarter of 2018 at a voltage of 200/500 KV and a capacity of 750 MV per station.
