The Egyptian Minister of Finance, Amr El Garhy, participating in the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) Geo-Economic Forum, highlighted the complementary nature of the Egyptian and Bahraini economies, Bahrain News Agency reports.
The minister noted that Bahrain could benefit from importing Egypt’s agricultural and food products, while Egypt, with its reserves of oil and gas, could benefit from Bahrain’s expertise in the field of energy and petroleum derivatives.
El Garhy praised the strong relationship between the two countries and said that Egypt’s reform agenda has prepared it to receive more investments from the Gulf.
The forum was held in Manama, Bahrain, on September 17th.
