Egypt and France plan to sign 17 protocols and memoranda of understanding (MoUs), the General Manager of the Chambre de Commerce Francaise en Egypte (CCFE), Hassan Behnam, said, according to Amwal Al Ghad.
The agreements will be in the fields of renewable energy, transportation, and culture, according to Behnam.
Behnam expects that Egypt and France will finalize additional protocols, especially in the fields of renewable energy and transportation.
During his visit to France, the Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah El Sisi, met with the heads of 40 French firms that are interested in investing in Egypt, Behnam added.
Demonstrating French interest in the Egyptian economy, the French President, Emmanuel Macron, announced that a delegation of French businessmen will visit Egypt in January 2018 to discuss investment opportunities.
