Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation’s Chairman Salah Abdel-Karim has met with Baker Hughes’ EVP for Oilfield Services and Equipment, Amerino Gatti, accompanied by his delegation to explore innovative solutions for increasing oil production and diversifying energy sources through geothermal energy.
The meeting dealt with enhancing cooperation in the near future, particularly in the development of existing oil fields and providing technological solutions to increase production rates.
The discussion also touched on cooperation opportunities in the study and exploitation of geothermal energy, the technological solutions Baker Hughes provides in this area, and the successful projects it has implemented worldwide.
This meeting is part of the Egyptian delegation’s participation in ADIPEC 2024, led by Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to support and follow up the progress of some projects in the petroleum sector with international companies and to explore new cooperation opportunities.
