Egypt is expecting to see $6b in foreign direct investments for renewable energy projects over the next two years, an official with the Egyptian Ministry of Investment stated, according to  Amwal Al Ghad.

Adviser to the Ministry of Investment, Sherif Oteifa, said at the MEED Egypt Mega Projects Conference in Cairo that Egyptian efforts at reform, and regulation have spurred investment in the field.
