Egypt’s diesel consumption decreased by 4.095% year-on-year (YOY) in December 2018, recording 1.171 million tons, down from the 1.221 million tons of December 2017, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.
Statistics published by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) revealed that the country’s diesel output slightly fell by 0.366% in December 2018, reaching 544,000 tons compared to the 546,000 tons produced in the same month of the previous year.
Monthly figures show that diesel consumption increased by 12.7% from the 1.039 million tons consumed during November 2018. Meanwhile, its production dropped by 1.63% from 553,000 tons of the previous months.
