The Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) has announced that it will increase the levels of petroleum products distributed in the domestic market in the Holy Month of Ramadan.
According to an announcement by EGPC to Egypt Oil&Gas, Egypt will distribute 1.1m LPG cylinders every day in compliance with an increase in demand. EGPC has additionally decided to increase the daily levels of gasoline and diesel available, amounting to 18,000 tons of gasoline and 36,500 tons of diesel.
EGPC explained that families and individuals who qualify for subsidized cylinder distribution will be able to purchase 18 cylinders for EGP 8 each a year. The commercial LPG cylinders will be available for EGP 16. Citizens ineligible for subsidies will be able to purchase a single cylinder for EGP 30, according to EGPC.
