Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla has witnessed the signing of a digitalization memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and Chinese tech giant Huawei.

This came on the sidelines of Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES 2024) under the patronage of the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla.

The MoU was signed within the framework of cooperation between the EGPC and its technological partners which enable it to achieve digitization goals and provide the latest innovative technologies and solutions in accordance with the international standards of digitization.

The MoU was signed by the Chairman of EGPC Alaa El Batal, and the Managing Director of the Energy Business Unit at Huawei Egypt Josh Zhao.
