The Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Co (EGAS) announced a tender for a total of eight liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargoes, fewer than the 16-20 some sources had initially expected. The cargoes will be delivered between September and December, informed Reuters.
Oil and gas traders in the Egyptian market said that Egypt was expected to import the shipments through joint agreements with French, Russian, and Chinese companies, instead of issuing a tender.
In July, the Egyptian government was negotiating with the states, that are involved in a joint-cooperation agreement with Egypt and own LNG companies, to supply Egypt’s liquefied gas requirements for two years.
