Diesel Consumption Drops by 3.9% YOY

Egypt’s diesel consumption dropped by around 3.9% year-on-year (YOY) to reach 1.014 million tons in June 2018, down from 1.055 million tons in June 2017, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.

Statistics published by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) reveal that monthly diesel consumption decreased by 24.6% from the 1.26 million tons consumed in May.

Figures also show that Egypt’s diesel output dropped by around 7.58%, producing 561,000 tons in June 2018 compared to 607,000 tons in the same month a year earlier.

Meanwhile, the country’s production decreased by around 6% to 561,000, down from the 597,000 tons produced in May 2018.
