Energy expert Daniel Yergin will deliver the keynote address at The Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (Adipec), said Trade Arabia.
ADIPEC 2015 is hosting its’ largest-ever conference programme in cooperation with the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
Yergin is Vice chairman of IHS, founder of Cambridge Energy Research Associates, and CNBC Global Energy expert.
Yergin is expected to talk about recent developments in conventional and unconventional hydrocarbon resources, such as shale gas and tight oil, as well as offering insights on the challenges and opportunities facing the petroleum sector in the face of ever-growing global energy demand.
He had been quoted previously in the Wall Street Journal as saying that “with the current oversupply on the market and the specter of the return of Iranian oil, we could certainly revisit the lows of the financial crisis.”
“We are seeing the final act of the China-led commodity supercycle right now and that is affecting oil,” Yergin explained.
