Oil futures are up this morning on concerns that political unrest in Egypt could spread to other oil-producing countries in the Middle East and north Africa.
Light sweet crude for delivery in March gained 23 cents to $89.26 a barrel at last check. Copper for March delivery gained $0.046 to $4.6255. The metal reached a record high of $10,122 a ton in London. Gold for April delivery fell $.01 to $1348.0. SPDR Gold Trust, the largest gold-backed exchange-traded fund in the world, said its holdings slipped to 1,228.864 tons on Feb. 4 from 1,229.277 tons a day ago.
