Copetrol, E-finance Sign Contract for Issuing  Fuel Smart Cards

Co-Operation Petroleum Company (Copetrol) signed a three-year contract with E- Finance Company to issue pre-payed smart cards for supplying fuel to the governmental agencies, which goes in line with the digital transformation projects adopted by the state, according to a statement published by the Facebook official page of E-finance.

The Contract was signed by the Head of E-finance company, Ibrahim Sarhan and the Head of Copetrol, Adel Ayad.

According to the contract, E-finance will be responsible for developing, managing and operating an integrated electronic system that can regulate and monitor distribution process of fuel to the vehicles owned by the governmental agencies which deal with copetrol company through its fuel stations by using smart cards.

Additionally, this system will provide plenty of data about fuel supply processes like the amount of fuel consumed by each vehicle, the places and time of supply as well as if there is any cheating in the fuel stakes for vehicles.

Sarhan showed his pleasure of this contract noting that it is aiming at assuring the fuel supplying processes and its delivery for the right users by using smart cards in addition to facilitating the distribution process.

For his part, Ayad, stressed the company’s interest in coping up with the recent international systems to provide services to its customers and adopting the modern techniques which raise its assets value and improving its operation efficiency.
