Natural Gas Vehicles Company (Car Gas) and the Egyptian International Gas Technology (Gastec) are planning to establish seven natural gas stations in Gharbia as a part of the state’s national car conversion plan.
This came during their meeting with Tarek Rahmy, Governor of Gharbia, where he stated that the first station located at Tanta Dafra road will be completed by December. The other six stations are currently underway and located in Tanta, Kafr El-Zayat, Mahalla, and Samannoud. These stations are expected to be completed in 2021.
This agreement aligns with the state’s plan to replace gasoline and diesel with natural gas as car fuel to preserve the environment and rationalize energy. Not to mention that it benefits the country economically and provides hard currency as a result of reducing fuel imports.
